Hew and Bordenave, a Limited Liability Law Partnership LLP, is a Honolulu-based firm that handles business law, commercial litigation, and personal injury matters for clients in Hawaii and California. Whether the goal is to advise business owners on contract and compliance matters or represent our clients in trial, Hew and Bordenave is outcome oriented and results driven.

Managing Partner

Ryan K. Hew focuses on business law matters, in particular transactions and compliance work. Specifically, assisting clients forming their LLCs/corporations, buying/selling their business, obtaining licenses and permits, and in general drafting contracts and filings for business matters. He takes a pragmatic approach in dealing with legal issues by spending time educating clients on possible options they can take when faced with legal issues for their business deals. In particular, Ryan works with a number of clients that are in professional fields (such as realtors), web and application developers and programmers, solar and construction contractors, social media consultants, and food establishments. When not downloading the latest productivity and social media app on his devices, he can be found with his corgi and husky or at the latest restaurant in town.

TREJUR BORDENAVE

Trejur’s practice areas include commercial litigation and personal injury matters in both Hawaii and California State and Federal Courts. In the Firm’s commercial litigation division, Trejur represents clients facing complex business disagreements, breach of contract, unfair and deceptive business practices, mergers and acquisitions, and defamation. In personal injury disputes, Trejur represents clients in the Firm’s general liability division and represents victims of sexual abuse or sexual harassment. A graduate of Lahainaluna High School on Maui, and the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Trejur spends his downtime surfing, exercising, and spending time with family.

ADAM R. CHANG

Adam R. Chang resides in the San Francisco Bay Area and oversees case management of our California-based clients. Adam previously worked in refugee resettlement and is committed to advocating for immigrant communities. He is expanding our firm’s ability to assist immigrant (and non-immigrant) clients with visa petitions and adjusting their immigration status, including student visas, employment-based visas, and family-based visas. He can provide counsel in obtaining a green card for you or a loved one as well as helping legal permanent residents complete their naturalization process. Adam is also an educator and nonprofit consultant focused on civil rights and youth leadership development.

DENISE W. WONG

DENISE W. WONG

Of-Counsel

Denise W. Wong assists Hew and Bordenave and its clients with contract reviewing and drafting. She provides services in forming and maintaining LLCs, corporations (for-profit and non-profit), and other business entities. She has background in real estate and construction law and provides support for real estate transactions. Denise also runs her own social security practice.

Case Manager

Caleb provides case management and administrative support for the Firm. Along with managing the Beretania office, Caleb assists with client logistics, client filings, case management, and client interface. Prior to joining the Firm, Caleb worked in the medical and technical fields as an analyst and account manager, and brings those expertise with him to the Firm.
